Susumu Araki is an executive coach who mainly works with executives and senior managers of multi-national companies. Prior to his work as executive coach, he worked in UK and USA as corporate executives of multi-national companies. When he returned to Japan, he headed the Japanese organizations of the European companies as board director/COO by focusing marketing and sales field. He provided executive coaching to many clients and gained good reputation in terms of leadership development, building high performing teams and communication improvement.

He is a master practitioner of meditation and also Japanese tea ceremony which is closely related to Zen meditation. He provides coaching based on 30 years of practices of meditation and tea ceremony, which is well accepted by his clients. The secret is he can provide deep insight and intuitive questions connected to higher self being, what he calls something great.

Meditation Based Coaching

Active listening is one of the key competencies for coaching, so how to deepen listening is presented by using spiritual meditation. Key words are emptiness, oneness without separation between self and others, connectedness to higher self being, backward thinking from future (effect and cause instead of cause and effect). Emptiness is a key word for Oriental spiritual culture, so how to reach emptiness is practiced and also an example in executive coaching is presented. Oneness is a very important context when providing coaching, which creates empathy and exactly the same agenda between coaches and coachees. How to reach oneness is discussed and practiced.

Connected to higher self, we can get deep insight from the synchronicity. Once we get free from cause and effect rule, we can create effect in future first, then we can create various causes which make bright future happen.
