How the Brain Responds to Change - New discoveries explain how and why coaching work

This session represents an exciting development in the coaching field that begins to explain how and why coaching works in managing change, from a physical perspective. Gaining this knowledge will help coaches and leaders improve their effectiveness, and enable them to better explain the benefits of coaching to their organisations. It will also help coaches establish greater acceptance of coaching by organizations and institutions who value a theory base to any intervention.

Drawing from recent breakthroughs in our understanding of the brain and neuroscience, Josephine and Judy will illustrate how coaching changes the brain, and explain the “active ingredient” within coaching that drives this change, and discuss how the brain works and how it responds during times of change, crisis and opportunity. By harnessing the power of the brain you can be much more effective as a coach, change manager, leader, and/or team member.
